Baseball
Joel has had a baseball in his hand since before he could walk. A graduate of Rochelle High School, Joel’s passion for the game extended into a men’s travel league, where his talents earned him invitations to work out and tryout with two MLB organizations. He played competitively into his late 20s until an injury ended his playing career. Beyond baseball, Joel has also been recognized multiple times on the All-Illinois and All-National slow-pitch softball teams as an infielder.

Alex Day, current NIU pitcher and former Rockford Rivets pitcher, has joined our instructional team. Alex brings a wealth of experience and skill. Currently attending NIU, Alex is committed to helping athletes reach their full potential. 28amday@gmail.com
Coach Josh Pethoud
With a coaching focus on hitting, catching, and pitching, Josh has a strong background in player development and team success. He began his coaching career as an Assistant Coach at Kishwaukee College from 2003 to 2004 before becoming the Head Coach from 2004 to 2018. Most recently, he served as an Assistant Coach at Northern Illinois University (NIU) from 2018 to 2023. Throughout his coaching journey, Josh has helped 12 players secure MLB Draft signings and free agent contracts.
